On Friday Conspirator played a late night show at Denvers Cervantes Ballroom. The gig took place after STS9s nearby Fillmore shows and, as expected, drew in some area talent. At various points throughout the night, Pnuma Trio drummer Lane Shaw sat in on a live drums, while STS9 bassist David Murphy added some live PA sampler/laptop effects. Conspirator also offered a number of family compositions, including its own Boom Shanker and the Disco Biscuits Oname’ Wa. In other Disco Biscuits news, the group has confirmed that Orchard Lounge will provide support duties on February 29 at Sayerville, NJs Starland Ballroom, while RJD2 will open for the quartet at the venue on March 1.
