New Orleans’ annual Voodoo Music Experience will return to City Park

from October 24-26. As in years past, the multi-day gathering will
feature national touring acts like R.E.M., Stone Temple Pilots, Nine
Inch Nails, Erykah Badu, Dashboard Confessional, Death Cab for Cutie
and DeVotchKa, along with and regional favorite such as Rebirth Brass
Band, Ivan Neville and Dumpstaphunk, Walter ‘Wolfman’ Washington,
Kermit Ruffins and the BBQ Swingers, Trombone Shorty and Orleans
Avenue, Preservation Hall Jazz Band with Marva Wright and Dirty Dozen
Brass Band. Voodoo will also present a number of surprise
collaborations, pairing New Orleans musicians with some of the
festival’s biggest stars. Other confirmed acts include Panic! at the Disco, Sharon Jones and the
Dap Kings, Cold War Kids, Joss Stone, Ghostland Observatory, Lupe
Fiasco, Joseph Arthur, Wyclef Jean, Man Man, King Britt’s tribute to
Sister Gertude, Blind Boys of Alabama, Cowboy Mouth, The Lee Boys,
Eli ‘Paperboy’ Reed & The True Loves and Grace Potter and the
Nocturnals, among many, many others. In addition, Chali 2na will
reunite with his former collaborators Ozomatli, while Irvin Mayfield
will perform with the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra.
