Tea Leaf Green crammed into San Franciscos Great American Music Hall a few days before July 4th weekend for an intimae two-night hometown run. As in turns out, the groups second Great American Music Hall gig turned into something of a Bay Area superjam, featuring a number of area residents. A few songs into the groups second set, ALO guitarist Dan Lebowitz took the stage for a version of Ride Together. Soon after, his ALO bandmate Steve Adams—-who toured with Tea Leaf last spring—-took over on bass while Reed Mathis switched to guitar for a run through Sex in the 70’s. Finally, local hero Sean Leahy stepped in on guitar for Truck Stop Sally before TLG closed its second set with If It Wasn’t for the Money. Tea Leaf Green will perform at Dewey Beach, DEs Bottle & Cork tomorrow, while ALO is of the road until an August 24 appearance at Outside Lands. Adams will also rejoin Tea Leaf Green for a few shows beginning July 25 at Floyd, VAs Floyd Fest.
