Two national treasures, The Blind Boys of Alabama and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, will spend the next few months on the road together. The Down By The Riverside tour will unite the gospel and jazz legends, beginning with a series of appearances at Fort Collins, COs Lincoln Center from September 16-21. The Blind Boys recently released the Crescent City-inspired Down In New Orleans. The two groups will then make stops in markets across the country through November, before regrouping in March for another round of dates.

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band recently mourned the loss of John Brunious, Jr., the groups leader and longtime trumpet player. Brunious 34-year-old nephew Mark Braud now leads the ensemble.
