The 8th annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival take place in San Franciscos Golden Gate Park from October 3-5. The free event will feature a stacked lineup that includes Robert Plant and Alison Krauss featuring T. Bone Burnett, The Gourds, Steve Earle & the Bluegrass Dukes, Earl Scruggs, The Waybacks, Asleep at the Wheel, The Del McCoury Band, Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Ralph Stanley & the Clinch Mountain Boys, Ricky Scaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Gogol Bordello, Tift Merritt, Iron & Wine, Ben Kweller, Elvis Costello, the Global Drum Project featuring Mickey Hart & Zakir Hussain and Tea Leaf Green. Other acts scheduled to appear include Robert Earl Keen, Waco Brothers, Riders in the Sky, Kevin Welch & Kieran Kane & Fats Kaplin, Poor Man’s Whiskey, Moonalice, Alison Brown Quartet, Red Wine, Heidi Clare & AtaGallop, The Opera Dukes, Dry Branch Fire Squad, John Jorgenson Quintet, Darrell Scott Band, Bad Livers, The Desert Rose Band, Jerry Jeff Walker, Laurie Lewis & the Right Hands, Hazel Dickens, The Roan Mountain Hilltoppers, Iris Dement, Greg Brown, Hot Rize, Heavy Trash, Carlene Carter, Jon Langford’s Skull Orchard ft. With Pegi Young on the bill there is always a chance her husband Neil may make a surprise appearance. For this performance, Tea Leaf Green will be joined by ALOs Steve Adams on bass.
