This coming Sunday August 24th, Steve Molitz (Phil Lesh & Friends, Particle) has assembled a band to perform at Spiegelworld. The keyboard player will be joined by Jon Gutwillig, Michael Travis, Jason Hann, DJ Logic and others for this performance. Molitz and The Agents of Mayhem will pay tribute to the spectacle Abbie Hoffman caused in 1967 when he threw dollar bills onto the trading room floor from the viewing deck above the New York Stock Exchange. Relix and Jambands.com are offering our readers a chance to win tickets to this musical spectacle, with details available here.

Licorice Trio for Free

Former New Groove of the Month Licorice will return to its roots for a previously unannounced free show tonight in New York City. David Lott (guitar), Joshua Bloom (drums) and Matthew Epstein (bass) will perform without keyboard player Chad Dinzes this evening at Kenny’s Castaways. The group, which begin as a trio, has not performed in this configuration since last November. Licorice will then return to the road for a full quartet in September, touring throughout the East Coast in support of its new EP, A Million Grains of Sand.
