London-based collective, The Egg, is about to embark on its first U.S. tour. The quartet, which has delivered notable gigs at such European festivals as Glastonbury, The Big Chill and Montreux Jazz offers live performances that delve into acid jazz, funk, ambient and club realms. The Egg tour will open on October 3 at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom and then track to the South and on through the Northeast. The Egg will then conclude its American travels with an intimate CMJ show at the AM Only party on October 24 with details to be announced soon.
