Marco Benevento and Joe Russo played many of their first shows together at New Yorks famed Knitting Factory. So it makes sense that the paired performers will help close out the clubs Manhattan tenure later this year. As previously reported, the Knitting Factory will move to Brooklyn in January after a long battle with its current neighbors and, on December 28, The Duo will offer a set of Led Zeppelin covers with Scott Metzger and Dave Dreiwitz as Bustle in Your Hedgerow. Longtime club promoters Rocks Off will curate the evening, so fans should expected some additional acts to be added to the bill in the coming weeks.

Though the Knitting Factory has yet to announce its final show, Akron/Family is rumored to play the venue on New Year’s. Unfortunately, gentrification has given the promoters at Rocks Off ample opportunity to perfect the club closing experience—-since 2001 Rocks Off founder Jake Szufnarowski has also booked the final shows for Wetlands, Tribeca Rock Club and CBGB, among others.
