As most longtime Jambands.com readers and/or music fans with an internet connection have likely heard, Phish will reunite for a three night run at Hampton, VAs Hampton Coliseum from March 6-8. Several additional musicians have also lined up late night shows to coincide with the high-profile reunion, including Steve Kimock & Friends who will perform at the nearby Norva on March 7.
In addition, a handful of bands will come together for the Hamptonite mini-festival. The two-night concert will take place from March 6-7 at Hamptons Thomas Nelson Community College-Templin Hall, which is located only a few miles from the Coliseum. EOTO, J.Wail and Sci Fi will play the first night of the event, while BoomBox, Pretty Lights and Freepeoples Frequency (featuring members of SeepeopleS) are on tap for night two. Although billed as an after-party, Hamptonites organizers stress that doors open at 9 PM both nights, and the shows will start soon thereafter for the many Phish fans who make the migration to Hampton, VA and aren’t fortunate enough to score tickets.
