Yonder Mountain String Band has released some additional information regarding the cancellation of its Cabin Fever Tour. Adam Aijalas wife recently faced some challenging health issues, forcing the guitarist to sit out a few shows earlier this month and, ultimately, to postpone Yonders upcoming tour. In a statement Aijala said, Just wanted to send a note to everyone out there to say thank you so much for sending good thoughts to my wife and family. She’s doing better and I’m hopeful things will be back to normal, but it will take time. She needs me right now to take care of her, the kids and the dogs. It bothered us deeply to have to cancel the February tour knowing full well that you were anticipating our start in 2009…we were, too. Every night we get on stage I am reminded why we continue forward and, ten years later, you guys still make it exciting for us. I know it’s clicho say, but we couldn’t do it without you. Again, I can’t thank you all enough for the continued support through it all. I’ll see you in April.

As of press time, Yonder is expected to return to the stage for a performance at Little Rock, ARs Revolution Music Room on March 30. The band will also host its annual Northwest String Summit from July 17-19.
