Croton-on-Hudson, NYs Festival: Great Hudson River Revival has confirmed its initial 2009 lineup. In 1966, folk-icon Pete Seeger started the Clearwater project to protect the Hudson River and, soon after, began recruiting his musician friends for a series of benefit concerts. This years Clearwater Festival will expand the gatherings scope with marquee sets by Old Crow Medicine Show, Alejandro Escovedo, AC Newman, Elvis Perkins in Dearland and Dr. Dog, along with Seeger and roots favorites like Susan Tedeschi, Arlo Guthrie and Richie Havens. Other acts confirmed to appear include: Allison Moorer, Tao Rodriguez-Seeger, Cornmeal, Jay Unger and Molly Mason, Mike & Ruthy, Jennie Arnau, Sleepy Hollow String Band, MacTalla Mnd The Dirty Stay Out Skifflers, among many others. As previously reported, Clearwater will take place at Croton Point Park on June 20 and 21, celebrating Pete Seegers 90th, Clearwaters 40th and the Hudson Rivers 400th.

In addition, Jeff Tweedy will perform at rare solo acoustic set at Clearwaters annual fundraiser. The show is slated to take place in Beacon, NY on Saturday, March 28.
