The Disco Biscuits will travel to Japan for the first time since 2001 to perform at the famed Fuji Rock Festival. The multi-band gathering will take place from July 24-26, also featuring performances by Ben Harper and Relentless7, Weezer, Public Enemy, Oasis, Tortoise, Animal Collective, Bad Brains, The Killers, Fall Out Boy, Franz Ferdinand and Diplo. Other performers of note include the Easy Star All Stars, Eli ‘Paperboy’ Reed & the True Loves, the Funky Meters, Gang Gang Dance, The Gaslight Anthem, Jeff Lang, Justin Nozuka, Longwave, M83, Melvins, Seun kuti & Egypt 80, Simian Mobile Disco and Tokyo Ska paradise Orchestra. Many additional artists will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the Disco Biscuits will kick off the next leg of its 2009 tour at San Franciscos Fillmore Auditorium this coming Friday.
