With no confirmed plans for upcoming Who dates, frontman Roger Daltrey has decided to embark on his first solo tour in nearly 25 years. Daltrey who hasn’t hit the road with his own group since supporting Under a Raging Moon back in 1985, has confirmed 31 dates. The Use It or Lose It Tour, so dubbed in reference to the singer’s need to keep his pipes in working order, will open in Vancouver on October 10 and wrap up on November 30 in Clearwater, FL. Daltrey’s band for these gigs will include Pete Townshend’s brother Simon on guitar, along with Frank Simes (guitar), Loren Gold (keys), bassist Jon Button and drummer Scott Devours. Daltrey pledges to interpret some classic Who material, dust off songs from his solo discs and deliver a range of covers.
