On Saturday, Soulive will celebrate their 10th anniversary and the launching of their record label, Royal Family Records, with an all day event at the Pines Theater at Look Park in Northampton, Massachusetts. Gates for the Royal Family Get Down will open at 1PM, with Nigel Hall kicking off the music at 2. Charlie Hunter will then take stage at 3PM for an hour set. He will be followed by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals from 4:15-5:30. Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings are then slated to appear next, from 6:00-7:15. Finally the host band will close things out, as Soulive and special guest John Scofield will deliver a two hour set that starts at 7:45. A portion of the proceeds from the Royal Family Get Down will go to the Royal Family Foundation, “a charity dedicated to helping students in the communities surrounding their shows with instruments in their public schools.” Tickets are still available with details at the Royal Family Records site.
