Dickey Betts Cancels Travis Tritt Dates Due To "Stolen Passport"

Dickey Betts had been slated to open shows for Travis Tritt on Thursday and Friday. However, Betts was unable to make either the Michigan or the New York date. Betts’ site reports that while en route to the airport, he “noticed that his passport had been stolen and was unable to board the airplane.” The site also asserts that these unfortunate series of events will not impact his other shows this month as “All of the upcoming shows with Great Southern are still on the schedule, however, and will not be affected.” The next of these will be a free gig on July 21 in Utica, New York.

Uh…someone in Dickey’s organization should have mentioned to him that he doesn’t need a passport to travel to Michigan or New York

You do need a government issued photo ID, and Dickey may not have a driver’s license.
