Edie Brickell back in the day

Back in 2000 Edie Brickell and drummer Steve Gadd (Eric Clapton, Paul Simon) first entered the studio together to record some original songs. The pair then enlisted bassist Pino Palidino (The Who, John Mayer Trio) as well as guitarist Andy Fairweather-Low (Roger Waters, Eric Clapton) for these sessions. However, due to professional and family commitments, the project was shelved for a decade. The four musicians reunited earlier this year to complete an album set for release in January. The group, now named The Gaddabouts will debut live at Carnegie’s Zankel Hall in April of next year, while two of the group’s songs, “Mad Dog” and “Feelin’ Better” can be heard at thegaddabouts.com.
