Longtime Phish photographer Jeff Kravitz is the son of legendary Atlantic City radio personality Pinky Kravitz. In his blog, Pinky predicts Phish will cover Led Zeppelin when the band performs in Atlantic City on Halloween. The elder Kravitz writes, “Most who read this column know I have a seagull that flies around listening in to secret conversations and then relates the information it gathers to me. This time it was a magic mockingbird and it tells me Phish will cover an album of Led Zeppelin’s Sunday evening. It’ll be interesting to see if my bird is right or if I need a new bird. Personally, that’s what I’m pulling for … a little Zeppelin in Boardwalk Hall. They’ve flown helicopters in Boardwalk Hall, but never had Zeppelin in there.”

Trey Anastasio, a longtime Zeppelin fanatic, recently told the LA Times that this year’s Halloween cover is of particular importance to him. Led Zeppelin is the only band Anastasio has covered with Phish, Oysterhead, Trey Anastasio Band, 70 Volt Parade and Dave Matthews & Friends. Phish debuted Zeppelin’s “The Rover” this past summer.
