Tony Trischka has confirmed a series of unique shows for the holidays. On December 16, the banjo player will perform with the group Territory at New York’s Joe’s Pub. In addition to Trischka, this project features Michael Daves (guitar/vocals) and Skip Ward (double bass). A few nights later, the Tony Trischka Electric Band will reunite for the first time in 7 years for 7:30 and 9 PM shows at Montclair, NJ’s Trumpets. This band also features Michael Amendola (tenor sax), Steve Count (bass), Rolf Sturm (guitar) and Scott Newmann (drums). Finally, Trischka will perform music from his holiday album Glory Shown Around at Teaneck, NJ’s Mexicali Blues on December 28. The Tony Trischka Holiday Show will feature a band consisting of guitarist Danny Weiss, mandolin player Barry Mitterhoff (Hot Tuna), percussionist Joe Cardello and singer Tim Eriksen.
