Last night, Prince returned to New York’s Madison Square Garden as part of his Welcome 2 America Tour. Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings opened the night and later sat in with the Purple One for “A Love Bizarre.” Prince’s former saxophonist Maceo Parker—who opened a Welcome 2 America date last month—also emerged for “A Love Bizarre, ”“Somewhere Here On Earth” and “I Love U But I Don’t Trust U Anymore.” Like most of his recent New York appearances, Prince invited a few celebrity guests to dance and play percussion onstage, including Roots drummer Questlove and his Late Night host Jimmy Fallon as well as rapper Mos Def.

While Prince did not sit in with Parker and Questlove at Brooklyn Bowl later in the night—as had been rumored—the guitarist did attend Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings’ late night performance at New York’s The Darby. Fallon, Questlove and Jay-Z were also spotted in attendance.
