Bill Walton’s Grateful Dead Tribute Pack

The latest Rex Foundation benefit will take place at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento. Rather than a concert however, the occasion will be a basketball game as the Sacramento Kings take on the Dallas Mavericks. On Wednesday, February 9, fans will be able to purchase the Bill Walton Grateful Dead Tribute Pack. This package will offer a lower level ticket, a limited edition Sacramento Kings Grateful Dead tie dye T-shirt and a pregame session with Bill Walton (all for $49). A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Rex Foundation where Walton sits on the Advisory Board.

Bill Walton the big redhead, is a great guy. a basketball legend, a rock and roll fan legend, a real stoner. H e has words of wisdom. In my talks with Bill I always here very wise words.He is a a lot of fun, drinks good beer, wont touch tobaco, but loves to smoke. Young girls are always trying to get his time, but big Bill just keeps talking about The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Coach John Wooden, Pistol Pete Maravich, Larry Bird, and Majic Johnson. Oh one more Saturday night;

Bill Walton’s a very cool guy. I’ve seen him at lots of Dead shows and The Stones in LA, and he’ll talk (and more) to anybody. Not stuck up or full of himself at all. I don’t know which Bill Walton worked out at your gym, Marzaphigar, but it’s not the one I know.

walton’s a douche. He used to work out at my gym (NY Sports Club, West Hartford CT- home of KC Jones btw). People used to roll up on him just to say hi- no psycho shit (well, maybe this one guy took it too far once)- and BW wouldn’t give people the time of day. He didn’t make an effort to hide his ID, since he’s 6’10” w/ flamin red hair…and the loudest tie-dyes EVER (god bless ‘em). Trust me, I don’t give a shit. I used to see him @ shows in Boston & Worcester all the time, but after watching a few dudes step to him, I walked past him and said “hey, aren’t you Mickey Hart?” He gives me this fucking sneer and says, oozing sarcasm, “and how are YOU today?” Douche. Like I said, I wasn’t impressed. He also works out like an average joe. True.
