Wilco has formed a label to release its future recordings, as well as material by other artists. Albums released on the band’s dBpm Records will be distributed through Anti- Records, who announced the new label on its official blog.

“This is an idea we’ve discussed for years,” Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy said in a statement. “We really like doing things ourselves, so having our own label feels pretty natural to me. And, to be working with ANTI- a label that has its roots in a label that was started by a punk rock guy to sell his own records seems like a perfect fit for us.”

Wilco’s team started discussions with Anti- after Tweedy produced the new Mavis Staples album for the label. Wilco is currently working on a new studio album in its Chicago studio.
