What a dissapointment if this turns out to be true. Tiesto? What the karl bro? 98% of these DJ’s, you stupid effin DJ’s!!!! have no business playing this Festival. There’s a reason they have Ultra in Miami. To ensure all the spunyons of the Earth get lost and wind up in Cuba. Now they’re gonna invade the most glorious jam festival ever. God save The Forest. Because I think even this one might not be able to be saved by The Cheese.

Adam February 28, 2011, 07:48:35

BASSNECTAR!!!! But I’m going to need some more than that. Wheres Keller and Claypool

Jo February 28, 2011, 09:21:01

Not even close to it’s former glory! I wound not drive 30 miles to see the couple good bands play. The show is contaminated with crap. When I heard the festival ground were open again I WAS excited. Rothbury was the best best should have stoped there!

UNTZBURY February 28, 2011, 11:59:17

the lineup contains the makings of a rave and REO Speedwagon. REO Speedwagon! WTF! And it’s $240. Where is the jam? Yonder? Keller? Umphrey’s? The Disco Biscuits? Actual musicians that play instruments on stage instead of all computers and button pushing? I am really sick of the MDMA crap. Take your pacifier out of your mouth and open your ears. Look around at the underage rave kids whose eyes are rolling into the back of their heads… Madison House, you should be ashamed of yourself. I know that AEG Live dropped out so you don’t have the backing you once did, but SHAME ON YOU for partnering with Insomniac! As a jamfan, I don’t understand why this is even posted on jambands.com when this is more accurately coined an EDM festival like Ultra.

Matt D February 28, 2011, 12:18:56

Where is the SCI Fidelity lovin? At least all the scide projects and umph, bisco, YMSB, lotus??? Some more jam bands please!

Gratefulcore February 28, 2011, 12:36:31

What a frickin joke… SCI had placed themselves at the top of the list upon their return at Rothbury and then following it up with an amazing 3 nights at Red Rocks… Horning’s… Then you post this s**t as a music festival and claim the Sherwood Forest with turntables. Tiesto! Bassnectar! Pretty Lights! as “headliners” F**k YOU! Bands that play instruments are what is needed for a festival. Not button pressing music mixing pill popping fools who love nothing but thumping heart beat bass drops all f**king night… take a look at Rothbury’s past. It’s all that is left for an amazing jam festival.

john johnson February 28, 2011, 12:49:58

Well, ya lost me for sure. Came up from Fl. for Rothbury and was worth every second. As much as String Cheese kick it just don’t see any other reason to come.

Gratefulcore February 28, 2011, 14:01:31

I still want to make clear that String Cheese Incident is one of the greatest bands of all time for me. So three nights of them… well…

Alex February 28, 2011, 14:07:42

RIP Rothbury. EFF’s lineup sucks big time.

nich February 28, 2011, 14:29:46

Oh the horror! People composing their music with a computer instead of a 4-track recorder! The Horror! Music that isnt for old dried up hippies listening to music that could have been made 40 years ago! HORROR!!

Shocked February 28, 2011, 17:05:49

This is an extreme let down and step backwards. Good job SCI for trying to post yourselves on top of the podium and money making festival. LAME! Why not just make this your new Hornings with quality bands? Billy do you even know half of these acts? This is a lost festival, top notch bluegrass and DJ’s, far from compatible. See you at Rothbury when you find your roots!

hal February 28, 2011, 18:56:07

MDMA is the new LSD

ted February 28, 2011, 20:16:11

the crowd this festival will bring will have a negative impact on the j.j. ranch. there will be a lot of underage spun kids who will be completely disrespectful and leave trash everywhere, as well as tear up the grounds with no conscience. at least the hippies helped keep the first two festivals there clean.

RustyNed March 1, 2011, 00:47:37

Am i that out of touch with popular music? I’ve never even heard of Tiesto?? I f’ing luv cheese, went to Rothbury before, and Hornings this past summer. Winter Carnival is next weekend. But you won’t find me at this one. When 3 DJs and REO are listed right below cheese not a good sign. Can’t travel from CO for this. What a dissappointment, you take out those DJs and I actually like the rest of the lineup. RRE, Toubab, Lettuce, Greensky, Rev. Peyton, etc… As for the MDMA comments, what cheese show have you been to lately that wasnt filled with rolling kids? And by the way…Bassnectar sucks!

riversongs March 1, 2011, 02:49:14

I understand the desire for diversity, but this lineup is just not compatible. There are bluegrass fests and electronic fests for a reason. And while I like both genres, I know very few electronic freaks who like bluegrass, and vice versa. So why pay exorbitant ticket prices if you only like half the bands? And that’s not even getting to REO Speedwagon…

went to both rothburys and volunteered at the first one and i picked up lots of fucking trash from everybody. also picked up a million balloons from all the nitrous hippie heads who left them on the ground while getting fucked up for one minute. this lineup is not nearly as good and im sure there will be many disrespectful kids there but every festival ive been too there has been way too much trash. ted.

Heyu March 1, 2011, 21:05:16

Stfu to all u complaining f-ing retarts! U think u can produce better music and sounds then these so called button pushers if so I like to see and hear that happen! Djs just so happen to b up with the times and technology. Many ways to produce music besides instruments. Quit ur faggot ass whining it’s called the ELECTRONIC Forest Festival!

FU DJHATERS March 1, 2011, 21:23:00

ANY KIND OF FESTIVAL IS A GREAT THING FOR THE STATE OF MICHIGAN AND THE ECONOMY! APPLAUSE TO THE PROMOTERS FOR DOING THIS!

Eric Leggo March 6, 2011, 17:38:29

I counted around a dozen bands I’d like to see that are gonna be there. (Ragbirds!Cheese,Toubab,Railroad Earth)I probably won’t see many more than a dozen shows that weekend. I’m excited to go and think there will be more bands announced as the show gets nearer. I’d like to see Further,Ekoostik Hookah and Michigans own Covert operations.
