The Gorge...duh. April 13, 2011, 13:14:03

Stop complaining and hop in your car and go to the best venue in the country. Oh, and the Gorge holds 20,000 × 2 nights.

Ya Richie, They haven’t played SoCal or San Diego for awhile. Oh, Wait. They played the last FESTIVAL there! Not trying to be a jerk, I agree that they don’t play enough but think of all the states that haven’t had a single show since they’ve been back. Especially in the west.

No one ever mentions Perpetual Groove anymore. Anyone listen to them anymore? Crazy awesomesause. Go see them. Phish is still the best band ever though. moe. comes in second. Grateful Dead third. These days I just relate more to Phish moe. and Pgroove. Dead was the band that started it all though. Ps. Bob and Phil need to make new music. Its about time they get on that. A studio album and all that goes with it. Peace.

At least they are back in socal (even if it is only one show). Despite the amazing 3-day Halloween festival they played here in 09, we havent seen anything else around our town. For those phish fans, like myself, who work fulltime, have grown-up, no longer in college and no longer lives in the northeast, it really sks not having shows near by during the tours – specially living in SoCal (a very special place in the US). San Diego and Los Angeles are 2 cities they should always play at, during their tours. I think there was a problem with security in SD last time, and that is why they havent played there for so long. Nonetheless, for those who know the city, it is a perfect sight for a great phish show. I hope everyone enjoys what they get to see.

@Richie – Hollywood Bowl seats 17,000 – not exactly a tiny venue. I’m more concerned about Tahoe, which I believe seats only 7,000.

“ I just saw moe. for half that and they are jamming harder than Phish has in 12 years. I think I will start following moe.”. ..i agree and have followed moe. since 1997 although i do enjoy the ocassional phish show

Cry baby cry, you make your mother sigh

No Deer Creek or Alpine Valley. Tickets are now $60 instead of $50. Seems like the boys are a little money hungry. I just saw moe. for half that and they are jamming harder than Phish has in 12 years. I think I will start following moe.

Wow. Feeling neglected.

Richie April 11, 2011, 16:30:24

Great. All of So Cal gets to fight over 1 night at the small Hollywood Bowl. No chance of getting tickets there. No San Diego or OC shows since 2001, or so, it seems

Vincent April 11, 2011, 16:49:31

Wow…that is such a small venue for them to play in Chicago. Those shows are gonna be so fun.
