Widespread Panic’s JoJo Hermann has finalized the lineup for the Down on the Bayou III benefit concert. The all-star jam session will take place at New Orleans’ Howlin’ Wolf on May 5 featuring than 8 hours of live funk and will benefit The New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic & Assistance Foundation. Jojo’s Mardi Gras Band will host the evening, which is slated to feature the likes of Taylor Hicks, 7 Walkers, Bonerama, Kermit Ruffins, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Particle’s Steve Molitz, DJ Logic, Col. Bruce Hampton, John “Papa” Gros, Tony Hall, Raymond Webber, Wild Magnolias, members of Dirty Dozen Brass Band and many, many others. The show will be dedicated to Herman “Roscoe” Ernest, Dr. John’s “diesel funk” drummer for over 30 years. Ernest passed away in March.
