Jamie McLean Band is currently touring behind its latest EP Time Of My Life. The group recently opened a string of shows for Tea Leaf Green, including a stop at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse where McLean joined the group for a take on “Shoes.” This past Saturday, McLean also returned to his former New Orleans stomping grounds and sat in with Anders Osborne for “Stoned, Drunk and Naked” and “Louisiana Rain” at Tipitina’s. While in New Orleans Jamie, McLean Band spent some time at Piety Studios to record their next EP. The sessions included special guests Ivan Neville, Anders Osborne, Big Sam Williams, Terrence Higgins, Kirk Joseph and additional members of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. The tracks will be part of the four EP project McLean plans to release in 2011.

Finally, last night Jamie McLean Band opened for Soulive at Nashville, TN’s Exit/In and McLean sat in with the evening’s headliner for a selection of songs. Soulive and Jamie McLean Band will play a Red Cross benefit for Alabama tornado relief at Birmingham, AL’s Workplay this evening. American Idol champ Taylor Hicks will join the groups at the benefit.
