As previously reported, ulu will reunite for a performance at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl on September 11. The show will feature interlocking sets with ulu’s old Wetlands collaborators Fat Mama. The members of ulu will also regroup for performances at Peru, NY’s Backwoods Pondfest (9/9) and Ponytelle, PA’s Meeting of the Minds. These shows will feature ulu’s original lineup—Luca Benedetti (guitar), Scott Chasolen (keyboards),
Aaron Gardner (sax and flute), David Hoffman (drums) and Justin Wallace (bass)—which played together from 1996-1999. The original band has not performed together since a lone reunion show in 2004.
