New Jersey lo-fi psych rock act Real Estate has inked a deal with Domino records. The label will release the band’s highly anticipated sophomore effort in October, in addition to future works from Real Estate side-projects Ducktails and Alex Bleeker and the Freaks. Real Estate’s 2009 debut came out on Woodsist records, a label run by Real Estate’s sister band Woods.

Real Estate will also embark on a nationwide tour this summer that will see the band visit small haunts throughout North America. Along the way, the band will make a stop at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Bandshell where they will open for seminal New Jersey indie rock band The Feelies. The tour closes out with a pair of shows on the West Coast, including a performance at the Woodsist Festival in Big Sur, CA alongside Woods, The Fresh & Onlys, Thee Oh Sees, Sic Alps, Sun Araw and White Fence. Real Estate’s current lineup also features drummer Jackson Pollis, who replaced Etienne Duguay this spring.

Before the group hits the road, Ducktails will open for Animal Collective’s Panda Bear at Brooklyn, NY’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on July 3. Please click here for a recent site interview with Real Estate bassist Alex Bleeker.
