The New Orleans based music festival Ponderosa Stomp is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary on September 16 and 17 with tributes to some New Orleans luminaries. What started as a two day concert recently expanded to a larger site at local venue Howlin’ Wolf and is set to include a film festival, music conference and a “DJ dance party” at the Renaissance Arts Hotel. This year will feature performances by artists such as Allen Toussaint, Big Jay McNeely and William Bell, as well as tributes to Stax and Excello records.

“When you talk about music events, The Ponderosa Stomp is the real deal!” Terry Stewart, president of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum says. “This is three days of unbelievable performances by the artists who started it all.” Tickets go on sale Friday, June 10 at www.ponderosastomp.com and can be bought for the early bird special price for $40.00 while supplies last.
