The Radiators’ Last Watusi

New Orleans rock legends The Radiators played their final shows last weekend at Tipitina’s in New Orleans. Dubbed “The Last Watusi,” the band celebrated their storied 33-year career with a three-night run, starting with an acoustic show on June 9 and closing their time together with a sold-out show two nights later. The energetic concert featured such fan favorites as “Monkey Meet” and “River Run,” which included an “Over Under Sideways Down” tease by guitarist Dave Malone. After a lengthy set the band came back out for an encore featuring a rendition of The Radiators’ original “Confidential” that segued into a cover of Willie Dixon’s blues classic “Back Door Man,” a number famously recorded by The Doors on their 1967 self-titled debut. iClips.com streamed all three nights, and will keep these shows in their streaming archive until June 17. The setlist for the band’s final show can be found below.

thank you Radiators u will be missed. One of the last bands that actually did it for the music and not for anything else. Plus they got better as thier years progressesd. By Regge, Frank, Dave, Camille, Zeke and Kenny for all the memories filled on tape

sad to see them go since I just discovered them at this years Wanee Festival, where they played a great set. Still, at least it was recorded off the desk and I have a great CD which has perfect sound.
Bye Radiators, you guys were really cool.
