This morning the National Association of Drug Court Professionals hosted a Capitol Hill Day event. The organization was meeting for its 17th Annual Drug Court Training Conference and in conjunction with this event, pledged that “conference attendees will storm the Hill and take part in a rally in the shadow of the U.S. Capitol. Following the rally, attendees will take to the Hill to meet with Members of Congress and their staff to tell them the Drug Courts save money, cut crime and serve veterans.” One speaker was Phish’s Trey Anastasio, a graduate of a Drug Court program in New York. He offered some brief remarks which can be seen above and in a larger format at Relix.com.
