Grace Potter was raised in Waitsfield, Vermont one of the towns still reeling in the wake of floods produced by Hurricane Irene last month. So, quite fittingly, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals have announced their plans for a benefit show to raise funds for area residents. The Goodnight Irene: Flood Relief Benefit will take place at the Flynn Theatre in Burlington on Sunday October 9 and will be preceded by a silent auction at Burlington City Arts/Firehouse Galley from 5-8 PM. Tickets for Flynn event will go on sale Tuesday September 20 and range from $30 for balcony, $50 for floor reserved, and $250 for Gold Circle, which includes cocktail reception and a meet and greet. The band’s stated goal is to raise a minimum of $100,000.
