Three iconic American songwriters marched in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement on Friday night. Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seeger and his grandson Tao Rodriguez-Seeger marched with protesters as they made their way down Broadway from New York’s Symphony Space on 96th St. to Columbus Circle on 59th St. The noted politically-active songwriters, along with artists like David Amram and Guy Davis, sang throughout the march as Rodriguez-Seeger strummed his guitar. The elder Seeger, who is now 92-years-old, marched with the help of two canes.

The musicians continued to perform as the march reached Columbus Circle, with the massive crowd singing songs like “We Shall Overcome.” Many prominent musicians have visited the Occupy Wall Street sites during the past month, including Michael Franti, Jeff Mangum, Beats Antique, Tom Morello and Kayne West.
