On Saturday night, Yellow Dubmarine celebrated the release of the new album Abbey Dub with a headlining show at Baltimore, MD’s 8×10. Tea Leaf Green’s Trevor Garrod opened the show with his current project The Lever and Rail, and Papa Grows Funk keyboardist John Gros joined the band on organ for a rendition of “Let It Be.” Gros was in the area for a performance the next day at Annapolis, MD’s Ram’s Head. When Gros texted The Bridge’s Kenny Liner—who produced Yellow Dubmarine’s new album—to Mothers Bar and Grill in Federal Hill, Kenny responded, “no you come to me at the 8×10.” Yellow Dubmarine’s current tour continues this Wednesday night at Syracuse, NY’s The Westcott Theater.
