Medeski, Martin & Wood wrapped-up their 20th anniversary tour this past weekend. The trio’s big anniversary celebration included a slew of online releases, a residency at New York’s Whitney Museum and a rare chance for fans to request songs (which helped bring back long-shelved favorites like “Shack Man”). All three members of the group also sat for an extensive interview with Relix, which is now available online. The interview also includes reflections from MMW collaborators like Marc Ribot, John Scofield and Trey Anastasio, among others.

Looking ahead, MMW will begin their 21st anniversary celebration shows in the Southeast. These dates include an acoustic show at Birmingham, AL’s Alys Robinson Stephens PAC and a return to Athens, GA’s Georgia Theatre. Then the trio will head overseas for shows in Europe and Israel.
