The String Cheese Incident kicked off its Roots Run Deep tour last night at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Asheville, NC. The group opened the night in classic fashion moving from “Best Feeling” into “Mouna Bowa,” a two song sequence that approached a half-hour in length. The evening also saw SCI perform a few of the newer songs it debuted earlier this year, including “Rosie,” a 15 minute version of “Colorado Bluebird Sky,” and the second-ever take on “Let’s Go Outside.” The band also debuted “Far From Home,” with Bill Nershi on vocals, as the first of two encore songs, following it up with “How Mountain Girls Can Love.” The second set closed in a fine fashion with a fully-segued sequence that began with “Solution,” followed by “Land’s End,” “This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody),” “Glory Chords” and then a set-closing “On The Road.”

Tonight the group travels to Atlanta for a show at the Fox Theatre.

Here is the setlist, as it appears in our Box Scores section.
