Bruce Springsteen Joins Bob Seger at MSG

Bob Seger and his Silver Bullet Band rolled through New York’s Madison Square Garden last night. Early in the night Seger invited out his old friend and fellow rocker Bruce Springsteen to sing backup and play guitar on “Old Time Rock and Roll.” Seger described the sit in as a “Christmas treat.” Seger has also rescheduled his stop at Greenville, SC’s BI-LO Center for January 14. Springsteen will tour extensively with the E-Street Band in 2012.

Seger’s saxophone player dominated the garden last night!

I was there. Bob Seger rocks! The whole band sounds as good as ever. And the girls! Oh yeh! Springsteen was a nice treat, but Bob is better than people who haven’t seen him know.

Bob still has it. His voice was in good form and the band was “tight”.
Seeing Bruce was a nice gift.

was a great time last night at the Garden. Bruce’s second solo was killer, and I think Alto Reed played a little Cadillac Ranch at the end of the song in tribute to the Big Man.
Turn the Page was another highlight – Bob squeezed out all the high notes on that one (he held back on others).
