Dr. Dan Matrazzo Adds An Old Friend

Onetime Derek Trucks and Col. Bruce Hampton and The Fiji Mariners drummer Ricky Fargo has joined Dr. Dan Matrazzo and The Looters. As previously reported, Matrazzo recently returned to playing more rock and jamband oriented music after focusing on jazz for a number of years. Dr. Dan Matrazzo and The Looters have a number of dates confirmed, including a few December shows. Matrazzo was an early contributor to Aquarium Rescue Unit.

Ricky is off the chain! One of the last great session drummers, who laid it down perfect before the advent of looping…live he is an organic funk machine!

what sort of gear did you use, were you self-sufficient? Do you have a blog or jnroual covering the trip and what gear you used in more detail? I am thinking of doing a tour through Scandinavia next year and am trying to work out what gear I’ll need.
