An earlier stop on the Roots Run Deep Tour

The String Cheese Incident’s three-night run at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom continued last night. Near the start of the group’s second set, the members of String Cheese busted into a first time cover of electro-indie band Chromeo’s “Bonafied Lovin’” during the new song “Rosie.” Chromeo has been a favorite on the jam/festival scene for a few years thanks in part to appearances at festivals like Bonnaroo, Rothbury and Camp Bisco. Umphrey’s McGee also introduced a cover of “Bonafied Lovin’” in 2009. String Cheese Incident drummer Michael Travis, in particular, is a huge fan of modern electro music and led String Cheese through MGMT’s “Time to Pretend” in 2010. String Cheese will wrap-up their Roots Run Deep Tour in Chicago this evening.
