The Dude of Life with Gordon in March

Mike Gordon closed a brief fall run at Albany, NY’s The Egg last night. Unlike his previous solo tours, Gordon’s fall outing consisted of a few weekend dates rather than an extended stretch of shows. At the end of the night, Phish songwriter Steve “The Dude of Life” Pollak emerged to sing on Mike Gordon Band’s first version of “Suzy Greenberg.” As many readers likely recall, Pollak co-wrote “Suzy” with Trey Anastasio in the ‘80s. Pollak—who currently lives in Westchester, NY—also sat in with Gordon at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl in March. “Until recently, doing gigs was on the back burner for me while life was hectic yet fun having and raising my three young children,” Pollak recently told Relix/Jambands.com “But now, thank God, my youngest is finally out of diapers and I have begun playing once again and I’m loving it.”

Gordon will regroup his solo band for a trip to Europe as part of Jam in the Dam in March.
