Carlos Santana Will Play New Year’s In New York (with Justin Bieber)

It is not April 1st, but we can still report that Carlos Santana will perform with none other than Justin Bieber on New Year’s Eve. The two musicians will “partner to perform a special collaboration” in New York on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012.” The show begins Saturday December 31, 2011 at 8:00 pm ET and will be broadcast on the ABC. And, yes, this means that both Santana and Bieber will be in New York during Phish’s four-night run at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Looking ahead, Santana will play a series of shows in Mexico this March. The guitarist and his band will perform at Guadalajara’s Auditorio Telmex (3/7), Monterrey’s Arena Monterrey (3/9) and Mexico City’s Arena Ciudad de Mexico (3/11).

What a waste, Carlos. My fan-ship just decreased. This is his worst artist pairing, by far.

I applaud Carlos for playing with Justin Bieber on New Years Eve! Justin is a talented young man and VERY popular artist right now. If you really follow Santana’s career you will see that he has always collaborated with top notch musicians from different genres. This is what Carlos Santana is all about. Kudos Mr. Santana and Mr. Bieber! I’ll be watching for sure.
