On Wednesday night Yonder Mountain String Band returned to the Boulder Theatre for the second of its five shows. The group had previously announced that Futureman, Darol Anger, Rushad Eggleston and Andy Hall would share the stage over the course of the run but didn’t identify which musicians would appear on which night. Tuesday evening saw dobro player Hall (The Infamous Stringdusters) join the quartet, while last night it was Eggleston who added cello throughout the night. In addition, Nick Forester (Hot Rize) emerged at the beginning of set two and added electric slide guitar for the opening sequence, which moved from “Years With Rose” into “Girlfriend Is Better,” then back into “Years With Rose” and on through “Two Hits and The Joint Turned Brown.” The evening later closed with Futureman appearing for the “Crow Black Chicken” encore, which would seem to imply that he will guest with Yonder tonight, since Eggleston appeared for the encore on Tuesday.
