Lotus headlined a big hometown show at Philadelphia’s Festival Pier last night. The group’s recent New Year’s Eve themes have included a range of pop covers strategically placed in their own songs (2009) and classic hip-hop (2010). Last night’s show saw the livetronica group nod to three titans of modern electronic music.

During their first set, Lotus segued into Daft Punk’s “Da Funk” out of their own “Grayrigg” and dropped into deadmau5’s “Ghosts N Stuff.” A few songs into their second set, Lotus also moved into Justice’s “Phantom (Part I)” after “Travel.” The night come to a close with high-energy takes on “Invincibility of Youth” and “Blacklight Sunflare.” Lotus will kick off another series of shows at Denver, CO’s Fillmore on February 4.
