Ridgewood, NJ’s Real Estate played New York’s Terminal 5 for the first time on Saturday night with Girls—and are currently being featured as the walk in music aboard Delta Airlines flights—but the group hasn’t forgotten their DIY roots just yet. On January 28, the indie quintet will play a $5 show at the family-style Chinese restaurant K&K Super Buffet located, oddly enough, in the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY. As promoter Todd P explains:

K&K SUPER BUFFET is a transformer. Family-style Chinese steam-table buffet restaurant by day… soaring ceiling-ed, opulently decorated, decadent party palace and cheap-assed bar by night. Lots of rooms and zones, great sight lines and terrific vibes. Just off the Myrtle/Wyckoff L train, just over the Queens border in Bushwick Heights, aka Ridgewood, with ample parking for anyone driving in.

The unique show will also feature Black Dice, The Babies, a DJ set from Real Estate guitarist Matt Mondanile and others .
