Meters drummer Zigaboo Modeliste will perform on The Show Show with David Letterman on February 14. The drummer—who was recently featured on the cover of Relix along with his classic funk band—will back Erykah Badu on “A La Modeliste.” Mark Ronson and members The Dap-Kings will also help back Badu. The musicians recently recorded the show for the Re:Generation film project, which finds unique collaborations between many different musicians.

While in New York, the drummer will perform as part of Zigaboo Modeliste’s NY Foundation of Funk Revue at New York’s Highline Ballroom on February 15. For that gig, his group will consist of Andy Hess, Brian Mitchell, Jonathan Batiste and Jamie McLean. Modeliste is slated to be the special guest at San Francisco’s Ameoba Records today as part of the In The Soul Kitchen program.
