"In My Life" with Cynthia Lennon

John Lennon’s former wife, and the mother of Julian Lennon, Cynthia Lennon, has re-recorded a version of the Beatles classic “In My Life” for The Beatles Complete On Ukulele. Originally written and recorded by The Beatles in 1965, the song was penned by Lennon (with help from Paul McCartney) about his childhood years. For nearly three years, The Beatles Complete On Ukulele have released a new recording of a Beatles song featuring a ukulele and a different artist every Tuesday on the TBCOU website. Click here to listen to the track , which also features David Barratt on ukulele and cello.

Hi Kate, one of my bgegist (few) regrets of my recent UK adventures was that I ran out of time for my long planned adventure north to Liverpool… many commitments in the south, stuck (ill) in Cardiff longer than planned.I too had a tearful moment on pondering the 30th anniversary of John’s death, but then took a little step back in my head and thought about the beautiful, silly, flawed legacy that we have inherrited and the joy that his music has given me. And I smiled. And laughed. And turned the singles over and puzzled over Yoko’s music.
