North California’s KPFA 94.1 FM will broadcast the marathon on terrestrial radio while kpfa.org, gdradio.net and nugs.net while stream the marathon online. Captain Clearlight will also host a live chat room throughout the day.

As for the event’s offerings, Gans promises:

Lots of rare recordings from the archive; some unreleased Jerry Garcia Band recordings; Bonnie Simmons’ January 1976 KSAN interview with Jerry Garcia; a live performance by the David Nelson Band all the way from Hawaii; The Fall Risk live in the KPFA performance studio; and surprises still to be determined. We’ll have a commemorative t-shirt designed and produced by Papa Lindsey with the image on this page. Among our thank-you gifts: Live from Berkeley, volume 2, an exclusive compilation of live performances from the KPFA studios.
