ALO Pays Tribute to Whitney Houston

ALO paid tribute to Whitney Houston during their performance at Solana Beach, CA’s Belly Up on Saturday night. Near the end of their show, ALO invited out the members of opening act Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers for a cover of Houston’s “How Will I Know?” The members of Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers have steadily opened and sat in ALO throughout their current Tour d’Amour. Last night at San Juan Capistrano, CA’s Coach House, Bluhm and members of the Gramblers—including her husband Tim Bluhmn of The Mothers Hips—sat in on “Islands in the Stream.” On Friday night at West Hollywood, CA’s Troubadour, both Tim Bluhm and Gramblers guitarist Darren Ney joined ALO for “Workingman’s Blues.” ALO will close the Tour d’Amour at San Francisco’s Fillmore on February 25. The group is expected to release a new studio album later this year.
