Shooter Jennings, son of country legend Waylon Jennings, drops his new album Family Man today, on his own eOne Music imprint Black Country Rock. The album features guest spots from Tom Morello and Eleanor Whitmore, as well as a new backing band, the Triple Crown, featuring pianist Erik Deutsch (Fat Mama, Charlie Hunter), guitarist Chris Masterson, drummer Tony Leone, bassist Jeff Hill, and pedal steel player John Graboff. The album, as the title implies, is influenced in part by Jennings’ new experiences as a father and is his “most country album to date,” according to Jennings. The band performs on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight and at SXSW on Friday before embarking on the ‘Magical Misdemeanor Tour’ with co-headliners Cody Canada and the Departed.
