The Allman Brothers Band and Zac Brown Band will co-headline the first Peach Music Festival this summer. As previously reported, the festival will take place at Scranton, PA’s Montage Mountain from August 10-12. The Allman Brothers Band have a long history with Montage Mountain and Gregg Allman once cited the venue as one of his favorite places to perform. Though The Allman Brothers Band and Zac Brown Band seem to exist in different worlds, they share a common connection through Zac Brown Band drummer Chris Fryar, who played with Allman Brothers Band bassist Oteil Burbridge in Oteil and the Peacemakers. Gregg Allam also performed with the rising country stars at the 2011 CMA Awards. The Allman Brothers Band will play two shows during the Peach Music Festival.

Other acts confirmed to appear include: O.A.R., Tedeschi Trucks Band, Warren Haynes Band, Railroad Earth, Blackberry Smoke, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Dark Star Orchestra, The Wailers, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Dumpstaphunk, Trigger Hippy, Toubab Krewe, Grimace Federation, Tauk, Cabinet and Miz. Additional acts will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
