Karl Denson to Pay Tribute to The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and the Beastie Boys

Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe will return to New Orleans during Jazz Fest. Denson will perform two late-night shows on May 3 and 4 at the House of Blues and Tipitinas, respectively, where he will continue his recent run of shows featuring The Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers in its entirety.

The Greyboy Allstars will also perform an intimate late-night show at New Orleans’ One Eyed Jacks on April 27 as part of this year’s Jazz Fest. The following night the group will return to Tipitina’s where they will perform the music of a “funky tribute” to the king of pop, Michael Jackson.

In addition, Denson will extend his recent Beastie Boys tribute with two additional nights at San Francisco’s Independent on May 11 and 12. Both nights will feature special guests Kyle, OG and DeLa from Slightly Stoopid.

Boo! I was hoping for a KDTU Beasties Tribue in New Orleans.

this is cool, but id rather just hear KDTU straight up. I saw the sticky fingers tribute, but I was only impressed with a handful of tunes and the keyboardist totally flubbed the solo in I got the Blues, travesty!!

KDTU is only supposed to be playing Sticky Fingers at the May 3 HOB show. I hope this is a misprint since I have tickets for the May 4 show @ Tips Uptown and I prefer Karl’s originals over the Stones.
